Twenty-one essays honoring Professor Bogaert on his 65th birthday appear under four headings: the OT–Hebrew Bible (five), the OT–Greek (LXX) and Latin Bible (seven), intertestamental writings and the NT (four), and the reception of the biblical text (five). The papers most pertinent to the NT field are by A. Schenker on diatheke for bryt–the Septuagint’s translation option in light of the law of succession in Ptolemaic Egypt and the book of Genesis, R. Hanhart on the Greek and Old Latin textual history of 1 and 2 Esdras in relation to one another, J.-C. Haelewyck on the Latin version of Esther in the first Bible of Alcala, M. Gilbert on Greek and Latin additions to Sirach 24, M. Harl on Zeph 3:7b-13 according to the Septuagint and in the early Christian tradition, Wénin on whether there was a book of Baruch (with reference to A. Kabasele Mukenge’s recent book), E.Tov on the papyrus fragments found in the Judean Desert, J.-M. van Cangh on the development of the Lord’s Supper tradition (Mk 14:22-26 parr.), C. Focant on the rereading of Psalm 22(21) in Mark’s passion account, J.-M. Sevrin on 1 Cor 2:9 as a saying of Jesus, and S. Brock on the rûah elohîm of Gen 1:2 and its reception history in the Syriac tradition. Also included are a photograph of the honoree, a bibliography of his publications between 1956 and 1998, and personal appreciations by J. Ponthot and N. Dayez. Wevers, R. Hanart, J.-Cl. Haelewyck, M. Gilbert, M. Harl, A. Wénin), les écrits inter- et néo-testamentaires (E. Tov, J.-M. van Cangh, C. Focant, J.-M. Sevrin) et la réception postérieure des écrits bibliques (S. Brock, G. Dorival, F. Dolbeau, J.-P. Delville, A. Kabasele Mukenge).
